N1C is a purpose-built district on former railway land, and it is the only one in this territory that was designed with vehicles as an afterthought.
Granary Square and Coal Drops Yard are largely pedestrian. Vehicle access is through service routes and underground parking off York Way and Goods Way, with height barriers and timed restrictions. That is not a reason to say no; it is a reason to establish the access before we set off rather than after we arrive.
The congestion charge boundary runs immediately south along Euston Road, and the whole district is inside the low emission zone, so anyone driving here is already thinking about where the car can and cannot go.

Access before anything else
