SG9 service area
This is the outer edge of the territory and it is written here as exactly that. Fifteen of the eighteen places in SG9 sit in the far band.
Buntingford is the exception that makes the district workable. It is on the A10 with a dual carriageway bypass, so the town, Westmill and Aspenden are reachable at a sensible speed. Everything east of the B1368 is not — Anstey, the Hormeads, Brent Pelham, Stocking Pelham, Furneux Pelham and Meesden are deep lane country, and Meesden in particular is a long way from any A road.
The tyre work out here is agricultural in character even on cars. Flint, hedge cuttings, tractor damage to verges and unlit single tracks. Wheels get kerbed on nothing more dramatic than a passing place.
We do come out here. What we will not do is imply it is a quick hop, because it is not.

A spare that has never been checked
If you live out here, the spare matters more than it does in town. Space savers lose pressure sitting in the boot and are usually specified at around 60 PSI, far above a road tyre. A spare at 20 PSI is no use to anybody. Check it, and check the jack and locking wheel nut key are actually in the car.
