Puckeridge is where the A10 and the A120 meet, and that junction is the reason this district is on our list at all.
Traffic coming off the A120 is doing motorway speeds and then dropping onto village roads within a mile. Standon High Street, Colliers End and High Cross all sit on or beside the old route, and the mix of through lorries and parked cars produces exactly the sort of clipped kerb and split sidewall you would expect.
Braughing, Albury and the lanes toward Nasty, Haultwick and the Mundens are another matter entirely — flint country, narrow, and with fords and water on the road after rain. Hay Street, Levens Green, Little Munden and Barwick are the far edge of this territory and we say so plainly.
If you are in one of those four, expect a proper drive. We will still come; we will not pretend the van is round the corner.

Fords and water on the road
Driving through standing water at speed does not damage a tyre directly, but it hides what is under it. A pothole full of water on a lane edge is the one that bends a rim, because there is no chance to see it and no chance to slow. Take fords and floods at walking pace and stay off the edge.
SG11: give us the road and the tyre size
Call and tell us where the vehicle is standing and what is on the sidewall. If the size has gone with the tyre, the make, model and year will do. We confirm what we are bringing before the van moves.
