EN6 service area
Base is Potters Bar. EN6 is the district the van starts in, so everything here is a short run down Mutton Lane or the Great North Road rather than a trip out.
The shape of the district is two halves. West of the railway is the town itself — Darkes Lane, the High Street, the estates behind Furzefield — plus the industrial units on Cranborne Road. East of it the ground turns rural fast: Northaw, Cuffley and the lanes toward Newgate Street, where the carriageway narrows and the verges are kerbed with flint.
The other half of the work here is motorway. M25 J23 and A1(M) J1 meet at Bignells Corner, and South Mimms services sits in the middle of them. Tyres fail on that stretch at speed, which means shredded casings rather than slow punctures, and often a damaged rim underneath.
If the vehicle is on the hard shoulder or a slip road, say so on the call. That changes where we park and how we work, not whether we come.

Motorway jobs are handled differently
On the M25 or the A1(M), get out of the vehicle and behind the barrier if there is one, then call. We work from the nearside with the van as a shield. We will not ask you to drive a shredded tyre to a slip road so it is easier for us.
EN6: give us the road and the tyre size
Call and tell us where the vehicle is standing and what is on the sidewall. If the size has gone with the tyre, the make, model and year will do. We confirm what we are bringing before the van moves.
