NW9 service area

Colindale has been rebuilt in the last decade and the traffic pattern has not caught up. Beaufort Park and the blocks along Aerodrome Road put thousands of cars into underground and podium parking on roads that were laid out for an aerodrome and a hospital.

Underground car parks are their own job. Height restrictions decide what we can bring in, ramps decide where we can safely lift, and lighting decides how much we can see. If the car is on a lower level, say so when you call and we will plan for it rather than turn up and find out.

Above ground, the A5 through The Hyde and West Hendon is heavy, slow and lined with kerbs. Kingsbury and Fryent are on the hill to the west, quieter and steeper. Cool Oak Lane down by the reservoir is a single-file bridge with a pinch point that catches wheels regularly.

This is middle-distance ground for us, reached down the A41 or the A5.
