EN8 service area

Waltham Cross sits where the A121 crosses the A10, and that junction shapes the whole district. Traffic funnels through it toward M25 J25, and it is busy from early until late.

Cheshunt splits into two characters either side of the A10. West is Churchgate, older and quieter, on a slope. East is Brookfield, Delamare Road and the retail and distribution ground, where the vehicles are bigger and the tyres are working harder.

The recurring job in EN8 is a kerbed or split tyre from the retail park roundabouts — tight turning circles, high kerbs, and drivers cutting in with a loaded car. That damage is nearly always to the nearside front.

Cedars Park and Theobalds Grove are residential and straightforward. We work at the kerb.

Nearside front damage

If the nearside front tyre has been kerbed, check the rear on the same side before you drive on. Cutting a corner tight usually clips both. A rear tyre with a scuffed shoulder and no visible cord is often still legal, but it is worth knowing about now rather than on a motorway later.

EN8: give us the road and the tyre size

Call and tell us where the vehicle is standing and what is on the sidewall. If the size has gone with the tyre, the make, model and year will do. We confirm what we are bringing before the van moves.
