Ballards Lane runs the length of N3 and carries almost all of it. Finchley Central sits in the middle with the station, the shops and the traffic that both create.
This is dense residential London with controlled parking. Most of the work is at the kerb outside a house, and the practical constraint is not the tyre — it is whether there is a metre of clear road on the affected side. Where there is not, we will ask you to move the car a few lengths rather than lift it against a parked vehicle.
Church End and Hendon Lane run down toward the A406, and the surface there takes a beating from bus routes. Potholes reopen in the same spots each winter and take rims with them.
N3 sits in the middle distance from base, reached down the A1000 through Finchley rather than by motorway.

Working at the kerb in a controlled bay
We need about a metre of clear space beside the wheel and a flat, solid surface for the jack. A car boxed tightly between two others is a problem we can usually solve by moving it forward two feet. If you have the keys and can do that before we arrive, it saves everyone time.
