N2 service area
Two places, one long road, and a hill. East Finchley High Road runs down from the North Circular and Fortis Green climbs away east toward Muswell Hill.
The High Road is a bus corridor with a cinema, a station and parades of shops, so it is loading and unloading all day. Fortis Green is narrower and steeper, with parking on both sides and passing on trust.
Valve failures show up disproportionately in districts like this one. Cars do short journeys, sit for days and get topped up at a garage air line where the valve core is disturbed and never re-checked. A tyre that goes flat overnight with nothing in the tread is very often a valve rather than a puncture, and that is a cheap fix rather than a new tyre.
Small district, straightforward work, middle distance from base.

Flat overnight, nothing in the tread
Check the valve before you assume a puncture. Wet the valve stem and look for bubbles. A perished rubber stem or a loose core is a few minutes of work, and replacing the whole tyre because nobody checked is money thrown away. We always fit a new valve with a new tyre.
N2: give us the road and the tyre size
Call and tell us where the vehicle is standing and what is on the sidewall. If the size has gone with the tyre, the make, model and year will do. We confirm what we are bringing before the van moves.
